Acer brings world's thinnest laptop, thinner than HP's flagship of the year

There was a time when Apple was popularly known for its thin and sleek design laptops. But the time couldn't last long as HP unveiled the world's thinnest laptop this year. The battle did not end yet as other OEMs also joined this battle.

Back in April, HP launched the Spectre 13 which was the world’s thinnest laptop and a thickness of only 10.4mm. Now Spectre 13 is no more a thinnest laptop. Today, Acer revealed its new laptop: the Swift 7.

Acer's Swift 7 is thinner than a centimeter. The device is much more than a thinnest laptop. Acer Swift 7 is only 9.98 mm thick and weighs just 2.48 pounds (around 1.12 kg). Acer has included a 13.3-inch Full HD IPS 2 display, which is very nice. The display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass.

Acer will be shipping the Swift 7 with the core i5 processors and will be powered by Intel's latest Kaby Lake processors. The Swift will also feature a RAM of 8GB for Core i5 version and which is pretty decent for a device like Swift 7. The Swift 7 also features two USB Type-C ports. The laptop will be powered by Microsoft's Windows 10.

Acer will start selling the Swift 7 in North America this October with the prices starting at $999. There is not specific details when Acer will bring the device in India. For more information, stay connected to The Times Headline.
